THE GALLOWAY
SCHOOL
Fine Arts Center
Atlanta, Georgia
Collins Project Management was
engaged to provide total program management services from
concept through completion and occupancy. The project scope
consisted of a 40,000 sf, 300-seat Theater, Classroom
Addition, covered parking, and playground.
The Fine Arts Center had to be carefully planned and staged
to minimize impact on ongoing school operations.
Communication with adjacent neighborhoods was critical to
success because of the sensitivities of the surrounding
community to construction traffic, noise and dust.
The project team had to navigate a difficult project
approval and permitting process, and then maintain an
aggressive construction schedule in order to complete the
project and make it available for the 2003-2004 school year. |
