HENRY
MEDICAL CENTER
North Tower Expansion
Stockbridge, Georgia
Continuing a 12-year relationship with Henry Medical Center,
Collins Project Management was engaged to manage the largest
construction project in the hospital’s history. Nearly
doubling the current square footage of the facility, the
project consisted of a 200,000 sf Patient Tower, Parking
Garage with elevated connecting bridge, and renovation of
adjacent departments.
The building site was adjacent to the existing emergency
department and helipad, and thus extensive planning and
coordination was required to maintain safe access to and
from existing facilities.
Constructed during an unprecedented rise in material and
labor costs, the project was delivered within the approved
budget and on schedule. We also were responsible for
medical equipment planning and procurement efforts and our
staff facilitated extensive planning efforts for the phased
relocation of mission critical hospital departments and
patients. |
