PEACHTREE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
Campus Additions and Renovations
Atlanta, Georgia
In support of a rapidly growing congregation and youth
ministry, Peachtree Presbyterian Church added a Youth
Building, Parking Deck and Sanctuary Gathering Atrium, as
well as updates to some of the existing administration
areas, to their campus in Buckhead.
The new Youth Building and Parking Deck are located on the
east side of Roswell Road. To surmount the problems
associated with pedestrian traffic between the Main
Sanctuary and campus on the west side of Roswell Road, the
Church constructed a tunnel that connects the lower
level of the Youth Building to the lower level of the
Sanctuary Addition, thus eliminating the difficulties of
pedestrian traffic between the two facilities.
The new Parking Deck will have approximately 360 parking
spaces. The new Youth Building has a footprint of nearly
35,000 SF, and features separate middle school and high
school worship spaces. The new tunnel extends a total 230
LF, of which 120 is directly under Roswell Road.
Construction of the tunnel included moving numerous
utilities under the road and in the right of way.
All existing facilities have remained in full use during all
phases of construction. |
