PERIMETER
CHURCH
Children and Youth Ministries Theaters
Duluth, Georgia
In order to accommodate a rapidly growing and thriving youth
ministry, Perimeter Church added two buildings with a
covered connector on its campus in Duluth, Georgia.
KidsTown was designed as a city street with a series of
storefronts, town homes, and light poles that lead to a
400-seat children’s theater. The theater features an
asymmetrical split-thrust stage and carpeted stepped seating
for 400. The Bricks, which serves middle and high school
aged youth, was designed as an “industrial” or loft type
space with a coffee shop, rock climbing wall, caged
basketball courts, and game room. The space also includes a
bookstore and a large auditorium with flexible seating for
as many as 750.
The two additions totaled 90,000 sf and were constructed
adjacent to the main Sanctuary and the Christian School.
Safety of members and visitors was of paramount concern and
required careful planning and sequencing of construction
activities to maintain safe and convenient access throughout
the construction process. |
