Hughes Spalding Redevelopment
Atlanta, Georgia
The Hughes Spalding Campus Redevelopment consisted of a new 71,000 sf tower that was constructed adjacent to the existing hospital and renovation of a portion of the existing structure that was retained.
Constructed in the heart of downtown Atlanta, logistics and phasing for the project was a critical element of design and construction planning. The site was adjacent to a historic structure and there was a great deal of underground infrastructure that had to be identified and factored into the plan.
The new facility includes an emergency department, walk-in clinic, primary care clinic, radiology, and a cafeteria. Specialty clinics, laboratory, and inpatient units were housed in upper floors of the new facility.
